			Imperial Electric Introduces Right Angle Gear Motor Units For Heavy Duty Applications

August 1, 2001			Akron, OH - Designated the 265 Series, these right angle gear motor units are most widely used for winching applications in the commercial fishing industry. They are also ideal for a variety of other industrial uses including material handling, hoists, conveyors and feeders. Available in 48 through 52-frame, the 12 or 24 volt DC permanent magnet motors provide output shaft power ratings from 1/4 to 1 horsepower. The gearbox assemblies are fabricated by Euclid Universal, an Imperial Electric operating division. They incorporate high-strength, lightweight aluminum alloy housings, roller bearings and stainless steel gears and output shafts. Imperial Electric is an operating unit of Kinetek, which is owned by Jordan Industries. The company is a leading producer of high-performance 42, 56, 66 and 180-frame permanent magnet motors and gearbox assemblies.
