			Imperial Electric Offers Motor/Gearbox Assemblies For Commercial Ice Crushers

August 1, 2001			Akron, OH - These high-performance AC motor/gearbox assemblies are ideally suited for ice crushing applications in the commercial food service industry. Models are available in custom or standard offerings. Powerful performance is supplied by a 1/3 HP or 1/2HP, 120 or 240 volt capacitor AC motor. With a gear reduction ratio of 170:1 or 176:1, the output shaft torque is 67 ft. lbs. at 9.5 rpm or 135 ft. lbs. at 10 rpm. These units incorporate a pre-installed centrifugal safety switch. To meet specific size and performance specifications, custom assemblies can be designed and produced. All stock and custom models feature vented gearboxes and compact cast aluminum housings.
