East Syracuse, New York - Jim Jackson has been named President, Advanced D.C. Motors. Jim has most recently been a Business Unit Manager for Vapor Corporation in the Greater Chicago Area. Vapor is a worldwide manufacturer of Rail and Bus Door Systems for the Transit Markets and is a part of the WABTEC Corp. family, formerly Westinghouse Air Brake Company.

Jim lead the substantial growth of the Rail Door Business at Vapor. In his role as Business Unit Manager, he had responsibility for manufacturing, program management, procurement and engineering for the Rail Products portion of the Vapor business. Previous to that assignment, Jim was Vice President of Engineering at Vapor, where he lead a wave of new product initiatives that have been fueling much of Vapor's recent sales growth.

Jim received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Missouri at Rolla, and a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
