| Imperial Electric Introduces New Heavy Duty Model 523 Transaxle Drive Systems | |||||

Akron, OH - Imperial Electric announces the immediate availability of its Model 523 DC Motor Transaxle series. The transaxle assemblies are produced by Euclid Universal Corporation in Bedford, Ohio, a division of Imperial Electric, and the permanent motors are produced in Akron, Ohio by Imperial. They are ideally suited for use in a variety of battery-powered equipment including golf cars, recreational vehicles, floor care machinery, material handling and lift equipment with axle weight capacity up to 2000 pounds. The Model 523 Transaxle features cut steel helical gearing for smooth and efficient operation and a splined interface between motor and transaxle for easy serviceability. Additional features include oil seals on axle shafts for dirt exclusion, ball bearing construction, all aluminum housing and neoprene mounting sleeves. 12 through 48-volt DC motors produce up to 2 HP with diameters up to and including NEMA 56 frame. Gear ratios of 8.2:1, 11.1:1, 15.9:1 and 29.4:1 are available. Options available for the Model 523 Transaxle include 1" diameter maximum custom shafting and wheel flanges, plating for corrosion resistance, parking brake and extended mounting lengths. |
