Akron, OH - Imperial Electric has recently completed the transfer of its Akron manufacturing operation and administrative offices into a larger and more modern facility located on the Southeast corner of Akron.

The move was dictated by Imperial's need for expansion to accommodate its continuing growth and customer demands. As stated by Randy Bays, President of Imperial, "Combining company headquarters and the Akron manufacturing operation under one huge roof will allow us to serve our customers even better."

With its vastly increased space, the manufacturing plant provides increased production capability. Research and development facilities are also significantly expanded. The plant's extensive high-bay storage area allows for increased inventories of stock motors and parts. This combined with more loading docks for faster shipping further enhances Imperial's reputation for dependable just-in-time delivery.

The office portion of the new facility is more than double the size of Imperial's previous headquarters in Stow, Ohio and will accommodate the company's plans for staff expansion. One of the new office's features is its large product display and training area. Visiting customers are now able to inspect Imperial's product lines and see actual demonstrations.

Another benefit of the new facility is its location. The Akron-Canton Regional Airport, serviced by major and commuter airlines, is just minutes away as are three major interstate highways. Cleveland Hopkins Airport is 40 miles away.

Imperial Electric produces a full line of high-performance magnet electric motors, vacuum cleaner motors, transaxles and power drive systems used in floor care products, elevators, escalators, power reels, forklifts and other types of lift equipment including a full line of wire rope hoists.
