capacities at speeds from 0.63 to 3.0 m/s. Kinetek ACPM machines are compact — minimizing space requirements by eliminating the traction machine gearbox while efficiently delivering powerful acceleration and smooth, superior ride comfort. Unlike traditional induction motors that lose efficiency at lower speeds, Kinetek gearless AC machines provide unusually capable low speed, high torque operation — and consume up to 40% less power than traditional asynchronous motors. Kinetek ACPM machines are also noticeably quieter than the competition and are nearly maintenance-free.
